Community Service
AAAO-Philly offers a number of Chapter sponsored, Chapter supported, and Chapter promoted service opportunities in our community. To be as efficient as possible, we aim to set a specific number of volunteers in agreement with the supported organizations. Volunteers must sign-up for events via its respective form or by email to reserve a slot on the team. You DO NOT need to be a member to serve along side with us. We also encourage all friends, family, fans and neighbors to serve at any event as well.
Our organization of and participation in community service events allows the Penn State African-American Alumni Organization of Philadelphia to continue our mission of, “fostering a sense of pride in and a commitment to the University while enhancing its reputation and prestige…”
If you have an idea, opportunity, or question or to sign-up for an event, please contact our Community Service Director.
For the Glory... For the Kids... For the Community... WE ARE...Penn State!
